For our video everyone in our class was told to send an email to the record label that produced Symphony so that we did not infringe on copyright and had permission to publish our video online. Unfortunately we had received an email saying that we did not have permission to publish our video as we did not have a license to use the song, and that if we wanted to use the song we would have to fill in a form to get a license. After apologising for the letter as I didn't want to come across rude at all and to fill in the form I sent another email but unfortunately haven't had a reply back so will not be able to post our video online. Instead we will be showing people in our target audience range our video on our computer before asking them what they thought and what we could improve if we were able to go back and redo or edit our video. 

Dio Disciples return Tour - concert and review

Out of three concerts that I have been fortunate enough to be able to go to Dio Disciples was my personal favourite as I loved the support that the fans from the previous leader singer Ronnie James Dio who unfortunately passed away in 2010. It was a complete privilege to be able to be there on the night and although it was very difficult to take pictures of the hologram of Dio because of the pixelation, it was still an amazing performance as the band incorporated the hologram in the concert well.

Uli Jon Roth - Concert and review

On the 12th of December i went to see Uli Jon Roth at islington to review the band for there performance and photograph the band. Although difficult as i was only allowed to take pictures for 3 songs i was very lucky that there songs can range between 4-8 minutes long with the instrumental solos included. As i had stated in my review the band was amazing and was well worth the watch. The crowded room at islington really highlighted the respect the band have from there fans as some had travelled all day to just see the concert and clearly it was worth there time and money as the band passionate performance and clear love for what they do was really visible throughout the show.

Sending the owners of Symphony a Letter

Individually my group and I all sent the owners of Symphony (Atlantic Records and Epic Records) a letter to confirm our ability to use the song in our music video as without the permission we are not allowed to do so as it will be classed as copyright.  This is mainly to ensure there are no issues with us using the song but we know for sure that we will be able to with their permission.

Changing our colour for Riverside again

We decided to change our shots of Riverside back to how they were originally and try again with attempting to get them to match however we again found this very difficult although it is far better than it was. The reason we had changed it back was because we wanted some feed back to see if people from our target audience would like what we had changed as it was a very dramatic change. But after the feedback we had received we had another look at it as a group and could see what they had meant. As most of our video is very much based on bright and vibrant colours, and we thought after looking at it again that it didn't work as well as we'd hoped. We then decided it would be better to go back and try again and have a look in more detail at what we can achieve especially since now we have had more experience with Final Cut Pro. But unfortunately we still need to make a few altercations with the last clip but have been able to match the first two pretty well.

Flashback scenes

 As we had some space at the end of the video before the suitcase we decided that we could put small sections of clips that we have used throughout our video and make it like a flashback of the characters time together as this would give our video a little bit more meaning. As before whilst putting everything together it didn't feel right and when watching it there was something missing.

But after adding this scene in to our video it brought it together and works well, more so than how it was going to before. We used clips that had at least one of the characters,

 which also shows each of our locations. As it is a flash back we wanted to really give the affect of time passing so we went from colour to black and white as we felt this gave it a bit more depth. 

 This gives the idea of passing memories as when the characters are together and are having fun the clips are full of vibrant colours.

But towards the end as the idea is that the characters are going off to university like we will be at the end of the summer.
